Step by Step Guide to Do It Yourself Invitations
1. Choose whether you wish to begin with blank cards of partially printed DIY Invitations
2. Select The Invitation size and layout – folding or flat?
3. Select your choice of card stock and weight to print out your DIY invitations on.
4. Use your word processor to insert text boxes with the words you want on your invitation. Play around with the fonts and text colour.

6. If you use a background image, make sure it is not to dark for the text on the card. Ideally, background images should be watermarked and adjusted from there. Most word processors will allow you to select background images and make them watermarks.
7. Need wording templates a wishing well poem or verse? DIY Invitation Sensation have an extensive free invitation wording gallery.
8. Save the finished DIY invitation layout and print out a sample copy on plain paper to see what it will look like so you do not waste your cards. If it looks good, and the wording is in the right place then you can start personalizing each card and printing it out on your blank cards.
